Backyard weddings can be absolute magic...

In fact, they're my favorite! It's been a year of our "to-be-weds" having/needing/wanting to change plans for a multitude of reasons that only 2020 has brought on. But when Riley contacted me to discuss a change of venue, I was pretty excited knowing it would be just as fantastic- and it was.

I fall in love with my clients, these two were no exception. Riley's infectious upbeat energy and a gorgeous smile to match along with Caleb's relaxed, happy-go-lucky vibes (also- pretty photogenic for a dude who isn't a fan of photos!) made it an enjoyable day with enjoyable people.

Pre-Ceremony

I opened the door to see the lads were quickly throwing their wedding gears on- needless to say they were positively stoked when they heard they could relax for a bit longer. Caleb got his boys some sweet hip flasks with nice drops to match- one of these being Mead, the honeymoon drink which is traditionally used to toast the newly weds on their weddings day, news to me and perhaps a new tradition for the Knights has begun...

The ladies had their own sweet relaxed vibes happening, chilling out with orange juice in the spring sun. Glorious, considering the weather predicted a pretty wet day for us.

Riley's dress from Kellylin Couture got the hairs on my arms standing up- gorgeous detail with a very soft and tasteful touch of sparkles through the tulle sitting on top of soft dreamy satin...as she sat on the edge of the bed with her Rockstar maid of honor putting her converses on for her, everyone was in agreeance that she looked like a real life princess.

Ceremony

With the help of their star vendors, House of Florence and Make Your Day Events - this was a gorgeous set up. Who knew a ceremony at home could look so good right?

A sweet and short service with a personal reading from each saw some wet eyes, the goodest boy delivering the rings and being announced as Husband and Wife by one of their nearest and dearest- this was a summery feeling kind of wedding with the party kicking off almost immediately as we scooted off for some bridal party photos in the neighbors garden before heading to the lake.
